CSW Case Notes is an Electronic Health Record System with strong built-in support for integration to related IT systems. It provides a complete clinical management environment with major components for use in local, regional and national frameworks and repositories.
Case Notes is particularly suited to the management of shared care across multiple care-settings and organisations. Based on open standards, its technology platform allows phased migration of data and functionality.
Case Notes has three main application areas -
- As a complete Care Records System for clinical management and Shared Care within or across settings and organisations. This applies to long-term and acute conditions and care pathways and integrates administrative, departmental or peripheral systems
- To provide the core framework for a local, regional or national Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, with a patient data repository, access control framework and service-orientated import and export capabilities
- To provide specific clinical functionality - such as Order Communications, Care Planning or Care Pathway management – as a clinical overlay to existing or administrative provision
In addition, Case Notes provides a base for CSW’s Clinical Service Improvement applications including Emergency Medicine Discharge and Assessment and RealTime BED.
