Patient Registration

The Patient Registration module allows users to input the demographics of a patient for full or temporary patient registration. After build it will export the demographics document to the Case Notes Import module.

Using the Patient Registration module, Case Notes has the capability to register a patient independently of a Patient Administration System (PAS) or eMPI – this is necessary to cater for patients who present themselves for care and are not already registered on the PAS or eMPI.

Features
Allows for Full/Temporary registration of patients
Registration notifications can be sent to a PAS or external eMPI Administrator
Reasons for Temporary registration can be recorded at time of registration (for example “out-of-hours” or “student”)
Can be used for all Patient Registrations – Case Notes assigns its own unique identifier
Unique case ID’s are assigned to each registration form
Patient demographics are automatically are recorded as an event in the patient record
Mandatory elements are configurable by the Administrator

Benefits
No administrative delays - clinicians do not have to wait for PAS to ‘catch up’ before using the patient record
Enables care providers to specify what information is needed at the point of registration
Can be used for all Patient or client registrations - Case Notes assigns its own unique ID
Temporary patient registration allows patients such as students, out-of-hours patients and ‘visiting’ patients (e.g. on holiday) to be included in the Case Notes system facilitating immediate treatment delivery
