User Directory Service
Case Notes' User Directory Service provides information on the user’s identity, role, team membership and passwords to the client system.
The User Directory Service will typically be available across a group of related organisations within a geographic region. The client system will log the user onto the system by checking the log-in details against data held in the User Directory Service, including the patient ID and password. It is also extendable for further levels of authorisation such as SmartCards and Biometrics.
During system use, the service provides information on the user’s roles and membership of organisations, which is used in the management of care team communications, activity and access to system functionality and patient details.
User details in the directory are set up and controlled by authorised system users, who themselves authorise the addition and management of user details to the service.
